FRANKLIN GASPAR, STUDENT IN CAU PUC-RIO, WINS AWARD IN SWITZERLAND

In June this year, during the congress DLA 2014 Digital Landscape Architecture, organized by ETH Zürich (Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich, Switzerland), the student of CAU PUC-Rio, Franklin Gaspar, was one of the winners in the contest for "best poster" at the event.

The competition was attended by undergraduates, doctoral students and recent graduates worldwide and the winners were chosen by a committee composed of Professors of ETH-Zürich, University of Stuttgart, ENSA-Paris and Harvard.

The work presented by Franklin was the results of development of a set of environmental analysis for flooding and landslides in 3D, which originally served as the basis for student's work in the studio Urban Project (ARQ1106) at PUC-Rio, and brings a critique on the real estate speculation in the region of Vargens, in Rio de Janeiro.
