INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP DAU PUC-RIO AND CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS

The Department of Architecture and Urbanism, DAU PUC-Rio, and Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts, London - through the second edition of cooperation between the institutions - are organizing the international workshop "Fabrication: Babilônia" with the participation of undergraduate and graduate students and that is taking place between March 21st and April 1st.

Directly related to the NGO Escolinha Tia Percília, located on the Morro da Babilônia, Leme, the aim of this workshop is to design and develop full-scale objects (1:1) that can facilitate interactions between children and teens in the adjacent outdoor spaces to the school which are used as its extension.

From the appropriation of digital manufacturing tools (CNC router and laser cutting) the workshop also aims to stimulate the creativity of those involved in the construction of prototypes that will be used both by NGOs and by the community.
